Recently we learnt all about different minibeasts and then went out exploring! We found lots of different minibeasts and had a great time in the sunshine!

Seachtain na Gaeilge
During Seachtain na Gaeilge we learnt lots of new songs and dances, we became fantastic actors and we created beautiful posters for our seanfhocal. Congratulations to our five winners!

      We are an active class!

We have been very active recently; we have learnt the 'Road Safety Dance' and the Cha Cha Slide! We loved rolling around during our gymnastic lessons and we look forward to every Wednesday and Friday to our Hurling lessons and swimming lessons! Congratulations to Ewan Fane in his recent win in a swimming competition!

Art

We have been very busy recently and have created a cool jungle, beautiful spring flowers and interesting stone age clay pots. We hope you enjoyed the Mothers Day cards - and had a lovely cup of tea!

     We Planted Seeds!!!

This week in school we got our hands dirty and planted seeds. We hope that we will have flowers in the summer!
We moistened the compost and boys came up in pairs to put seeds in the tray while others were in charge of the watering can!
We will do our best to look after them!

    Trócaire Lenten Project

This Lent Trócaire are highlighting the plight of some people in poor areas of India. In school we completed a project on the country of India. In our groups we each focused on a specific topic; People in India, Nature and Geography, Interesting Facts on India, The Map and Flag of India, Trócaire in India. We learnt a lot and we hope we can help a little bit.

Red Pen Licences

When our handwriting is very neat and we do our work carefully and carefully and present our work well we earn a red pen licence. Lots of boys have earned their red pen licences already! Well Done!

                     ANTI BULLYING WEEK
From Monday the 11th of November to Friday the 16th of November we participated in 'Anti-Bullying Week'.
We took part in daily assemblies, learnt songs, read poems, wrote poems and designed posters and anti bullying vests. There were many important lessons that we learnt this week. We learnt that there is no such thing as a bully, only someone who is displaying bullying behaviour. We also learnt that everyone is different and that's great! We learnt to always tell someone to stop if you don't like how they are treating you. We learnt that the most important thing is that you tell an adult.
