Walk on Wednesday
The first in our series of Walk on Wednesdays took place on Wednesday 18th April. There was a wonderful response from the children and parents. We were very fortunate that the weather subsided for a while and we had clear skies. Many children walked to school or parked their cars a little further away from the school and walked the rest of the way to school. Children, staff and parents all enjoyed the event. The next Walk on Wednesday takes place next Wednesday 25th April.

Scoil Mhuire gets into farming!!On Friday last, our school had two very special visitors. They are only two weeks old so they won't be eligible to enrol for another while yet! The two week old calves visited the school last Friday and presented many children with their first opportunity to see calves up close. The two beautiful animals were a little nervous and first but by the end were completely comfortable in their surroundings. Many thanks to Pat and Meave Horgan who brought the calves to our school. Please see individual class pages for more pictures. |
